Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a customer service or administrative-related position is required.
  • At least 3 years of communication and processing experience is required.
  • At least 1 year of telephone experience is required.
  • Knowledge of life insurance products is required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Strong customer service skills are required.
  • Analytical and technical skills are required.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize are required.

  • Typing speed of 30-40 words per minute is required.

Responsibilities
  • Execute agent contracts, appointments, terminations, renewals, and other licensing-related tasks while meeting defined productivity and quality standards.
  • Understand regulations needed to accurately contract, appoint, and maintain agents, and use online references to ensure compliance with state regulations.
  • Review new agent contracts for completeness and accuracy, and add agent requirements to communicate missing or incomplete information to agencies while working in ALI.
  • Set up agent master and hierarchy records to ensure proper contract-level and commission structures are entered.
  • Request and review due diligence and background reports to determine whether individuals or entities meet predefined acceptance guidelines, and forward adverse reports to Compliance for further review and approval or declination.
  • Appoint new agents with the respective states, review state Department of Insurance responses, research and correct responses, obtain missing information, generate executed agent contracts, review information, and route contracts to the proper entity.
  • Accurately index documents in the image queue while meeting defined productivity and quality standards.
  • Research tasks generated at submission related to agent problems, correct data, and add requirements requesting information from agencies.
  • Process address changes, commission changes or assignments, and agent transfers.
  • Review state agent renewal listings to ensure agents are active and appointed.
  • Review state Department of Insurance-generated agent termination advisories, terminate agents in the system, and send proper notifications to agents or agencies.
  • Answer telephone calls accurately and courteously while providing customer service and meeting defined productivity and quality standards.
  • Respond to all voicemail and email within four business hours.
  • Complete other assignments and goals as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • Some college is preferred.
  • Life, Property and Casualty, or Health insurance experience is preferred.
