  • 8-12 years of work implementing supply chain applications in the chemicals/polymer industry
  • BS, Operations Research, Chemical Engineering, or Applied Mathematics degree or equivalent
  • Experience with implementation of planning, scheduling, and/or demand management models for chemicals or specialty chemicals using AspenTech SCM suite or other equivalent 3rd party supply chain solutions
  • Ability to travel (15%-25% travel on a calendar basis – when travel is required by the customer)
  • Process and economic understanding and experience in the process industries
  • Technical solid programming in JavaScript is a plus
  • Experience with working with MS SQL Server or other databases is very beneficial
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Have demonstrated good leadership capabilities in previous endeavors, and resourcefulness in solving problems
  • Fluent in English, written and verbal.
  • Experience with Aspen Technology Supply Chain software is highly valued
Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate strong technical and business knowledge when customer-facing to promote our Professional Services capabilities and our best practice methodologies that attain Value
  • Provide training as needed to the customer or facilitate formal training classes
  • Upon occasion, participation in commercial proposal development and testing of new software releases is needed
  • Help support Commissioning the completed models, which may require on-site monitoring and analysis, and user handholding/training
  • Working with clients to implement the solution (from building new models to upgrades and adding enhancements)
  • Provide Value to our customers: defining and developing Services solutions that meet the needs of our customers
  • Must be a team player; collaboration is essential within AspenTech, team members often enjoy opportunities to work with various internal organizations outside of Professional Services
  • Be confident, capable and possess the ability to handle technical roles on projects
  • A keen listener who understands customer’s problems and requirements who’ll work with project managers and technical leads to help translate understandings into high-level solution designs for the Aspen Chemical supply chain suite of products
  • Help Project Lead to deliver technical documents such as Functional Specifications, Detailed Design Documents, as well as Site Acceptance Test Documents.

Emerson Acquires AspenTech for $265/Share

Emerson has completed its acquisition of all outstanding shares of Aspen Technology, making AspenTech a wholly owned subsidiary. The acquisition followed a tender offer for $265 per share, with 72% of shares tendered. AspenTech's shares have ceased trading on NASDAQ. Antonio Pietri will retire as CEO, with Vincent M. Servello appointed as President. The transaction was advised by Goldman Sachs, Centerview Partners, and Davis Polk & Wardwell.

Emerson to Acquire AspenTech for $7.2B

Emerson has agreed to acquire the remaining shares of AspenTech that it does not already own for $265 per share, in a deal valued at $7.2 billion. Emerson currently holds approximately 57% of AspenTech's shares. Once the transaction is completed, AspenTech will become a wholly owned subsidiary of Emerson. The acquisition is expected to be finalized in the first half of 2025.

Emerson Electric has agreed to acquire the remaining shares of Aspen Technology for $7.2 billion, enhancing its shift towards industrial technology.
