Requirements
  • The candidate must meet one of the following backgrounds: former 68W or 18D Noncommissioned Officer and Advanced Leader Course graduate; former Navy Enlisted Classification 8404 or Navy Independent Duty Corpsman at E-6 or above; former Air Force 4NOX1 or Aerospace Medical Service member at E-6 or above; or currently licensed Registered Nurse, Physician Assistant, or Physician (MD/DO).
  • The candidate must hold Nationally Registered Paramedic and Basic Life Support certifications.
  • The candidate must have experience delivering emergency medical, tactical trauma, or combat casualty care training.
  • The candidate must be able to review documents, maintain electronic files, manage spreadsheets, tracking logs, suspense actions, and similar records.
  • The candidate must be proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and standard office equipment.
  • The candidate must be able to organize data entry, written communication, grammar, spelling, punctuation, and customer-service tasks accurately.
  • The candidate must be able to manage multiple records and deadlines and communicate professionally with military, civilian, medical, recruiting, and contractor personnel.

  • The candidate must complete Level 1 Antiterrorism Awareness Training within 30 calendar days.
  • The candidate must complete iWatch Training within 30 calendar days.
  • The candidate must complete Level 1 Operations Security Training within 30 calendar days of reporting for duty, with an annual refresher.
  • The candidate must register in the Army Training Certification Tracking System and complete Department of Defense Cybersecurity training annually.
  • The candidate must complete annual Sexual Harassment/Assault Response and Prevention training.
  • The candidate must comply with the employer's onboarding learning management system.
  • The candidate must comply with all Controlled Unclassified Information handling requirements under Department of Defense Instruction 5200.48.
  • The candidate must comply with hazardous materials management requirements under applicable Occupational Safety and Health Administration, Environmental Protection Agency, and military regulations.
  • The candidate must complete and certify in accordance with TC 8-800 within 30 days of starting.
  • The candidate must be eligible for and obtain a Common Access Card, requiring a minimum Tier 1 investigation.
  • The candidate must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen and may be subject to random drug screens during employment.
Responsibilities
  • Deliver Tactical Combat Casualty Care training across all four tiers: All Service Members, Combat Lifesaver, Combat Medic, and Combat Paramedic.
  • Instruct 68W Combat Medic sustainment training and Combat Lifesaver initial and sustainment training to non-medical personnel.
  • Conduct training in classroom, laboratory, and field training and evaluation environments.
  • Maintain instructor-to-student ratios according to Medical Education and Training Campus directives.
  • Instruct mixed populations of inexperienced and seasoned Soldiers in class sizes directed by the medical proponent.
  • Assess students' critical thinking and psychomotor skills under high-fidelity simulated conditions.
  • Support a projected minimum throughput of at least 2,500 68W students annually across all Medical Simulation Training Center sites.
  • Utilize approved scenario-based training according to course Training Circulars or as approved by the medical proponent.
  • Apply moulage techniques, environmental control, and theatrical special effects to simulate realistic injuries and environments.
  • Assess students using grading sheets for individual scenarios.
  • Ensure all training content is approved by the appropriate medical proponent, including MTN, Deployed Medicine, and CMSD.
  • Operate Medical Simulation Training Center systems, including ISS, VPS, and MT-C2.
  • Configure and execute realistic training scenarios.
  • Contribute to Monthly Staffing Report data as required.
  • Document and report accidents and incidents.
  • Maintain training records, student evaluations, and After-Action Review documentation.
  • Operate and perform operator-level preventive maintenance on assigned patient simulators, manikins, and medical training equipment.
  • Follow original equipment manufacturer instructions for Medical Simulation Training Center equipment requiring extended service agreement repair.
  • Inventory and manage consumable items, including skins, synthetic blood, and preventive maintenance checks and services kits.
  • Notify the Contracting Officer's Representative when consumables are required.
  • Initiate fielded equipment repair and condition-status reports and keep the Training Operations Representative and Assistant Program Manager or Contracting Officer's Representative informed of equipment issues.
  • Notify the W-TRS maintainer through the Authorized Contracting Activity for equipment failures outside extended service agreement coverage.
  • Participate in Quality Control Plan activities, including peer observations, self-assessments, and After-Action Reviews.
  • Maintain all certifications throughout the contract without allowing credentials to lapse.
  • Complete annual TC 8-800 recertification for all tables.
  • Participate in enterprise quality initiatives, including instructor development programs and cross-site standardization.
  • Work Monday through Friday from 0800 to 1700 local time, with overtime, weekend, and extended hours during surge operations as directed by the Government.
  • Travel locally during the business day and occasionally travel out of the area or overnight for cross-site support, surge operations, training conferences, or the Medical Simulation Training Center Exchange Program.
Desired Qualifications
  • Advanced Life Support certification.

  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification.
  • Tactical Combat Casualty Care provider or instructor certification.
  • Experience with medical simulation Training Aids, Devices, Simulators, and Simulations, including SimMan 3G, MTC2, or Cut Suit.
  • Prior Medical Simulation Training Center or medical simulation training center experience.
  • Experience with moulage techniques and theatrical special effects for high-fidelity scenarios.
  • Familiarity with TC 8-800 tables and Deployed Medicine curriculum.
