Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Two years of Passenger Light Truck tire technician experience are required.
  • A valid Ontario G driver's license and a clean driver's abstract are required.
  • A Tire Industry Association certificate is required, or the applicant must be willing to obtain certification.
  • Internal associates must have achieved the Intermediate Passenger Light Truck Skills Matrix.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and previous exposure to passenger vehicles are required.
  • The applicant must be physically able to lift 80–100 pounds and maintain a crouched position for extended periods.
  • The applicant must be willing to work 45 hours per week and follow a shared schedule.
Responsibilities
  • Interact with Service Advisors to obtain work orders and customer-service-specific requirements.
  • Install, balance, rotate, and repair tires safely and efficiently.
  • Accurately complete documentation and paperwork related to service work and work orders.
  • Deliver feedback from the customer tire-maintenance program.
  • Maintain the service shop and all equipment in a tidy, safe, and clean condition.
  • Conduct inventory control by documenting the shipping and receiving of all inventory.
