Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 3+ years of combined SEC reporting/technical accounting experience
  • Healthcare and/or regulated industry experience preferred
  • 3+ years of public accounting experience preferred
  • CPA license (preferred)
  • Strong SEC reporting knowledge
  • Strong financial reporting control acumen, at a SOX 404 standard
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge, particularly around revenue recognition and healthcare accounting principles
  • Experience evaluating new or emerging trends and transferring knowledge to key stakeholders
  • Excellent written and oral presentation skills, with proven ability to present and explain complex information to diverse audiences
  • Robust prioritization skills, with the ability to reprioritize and respond to urgent management requests
Responsibilities
  • Lead and maintain an ongoing process around all facets of SEC reporting including Form 10-K, Form 10-Q, Form 8-K, and Proxy, and related XBRL requirements
  • Lead the compilation and analysis of all supporting financial and non-financial information underlying the financial statements, footnotes, MD&A, and supporting schedules. Coordinate preparation of the non-financial sections of 10-Q and 10-K with legal, investor relations, FP&A, and other departments
  • Perform technical accounting research and monitor FASB and SEC developments to identify potential impacts of new pronouncements and prepare related position papers, accounting policies, and disclosure documentation
  • Build and maintain strong internal controls over financial reporting, to a SOX 404 standard
  • Collaborate with and provide support to external auditors for financial statement audits and reviews
