Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 4+ years of proven experience in designing, prototyping, and commissioning machine vision solutions in a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in vision system development, such as C++, OpenCV, MFC, or others.
  • Knowledge of quality and reliability metrics including CpK, Alpha and Beta risk, and confusion matrices.
  • Strong understanding of lighting and optics principles, with the ability to design and test solutions for varied inspection requirements.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills for interdisciplinary teamwork.
Responsibilities
  • Troubleshooting and diagnostics of vision systems performance, with demonstrable competency in vision algorithm development and interfaces with PLC/HMI systems.
  • Develop and test lighting and optics solutions tailored to diverse dimension and surface inspection requirements.
  • Complete validation of vision systems for reliable performance, including evaluation of repeatability and reproducibility to prevent quality escapes.
  • Experience prototyping and integrating vision systems in an industrial environment, with focus on quality and reliability.
  • Utilize C++, OpenCV, and MFC for software development, contributing to the creation and enhancement of machine vision algorithms and applications.
  • Provide on-site support for troubleshooting and continuous improvement of inspection systems during production.
  • Conduct training sessions to equipment engineers with the skills necessary for maintaining and optimizing machine vision systems.
