Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Applicable Specialists working in the Sterile Processing Department must obtain HSPA Certified Registered Central Service Technician certification within six months of the start date and renew it annually on time.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office, are required.

Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical surgical support by managing all relevant equipment.
  • Anticipate device needs of operating-room staff and surgeons during surgical procedures.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain Stryker equipment and other related devices.
  • Work with surgeons, operating-room personnel, central processing, biomedical personnel, and other related personnel.
  • Maintain knowledge of equipment and disposable products through Stryker education and training programs.
  • Provide physicians and operating-room personnel with information about new and current products.
  • Record and report data metrics related to specific job functions monthly.
  • Maintain up-to-date account information, including all vendor credentialing required by the account.
  • Record and report all surgical procedure information accurately.
  • Adhere to Stryker and medical-facility policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Analyze and resolve routine and non-routine product issues using independent judgment.
  • Maintain the professional appearance, work ethic, and attitude required by Stryker and the medical facility.
  • Adhere to HIPAA and other patient-confidentiality policies and procedures.
  • Provide support and coverage at the assigned account and at other accounts in and outside the region, including on-call, overnight, and weekend shifts when needed.
  • Adjust to assigned-shift changes based on account or business needs, including rotating days and start and end times.
  • Provide physicians and operating-room personnel with information about new and current products.

Stryker completes first hip surgery using FDA-authorized Apple Vision Pro app SportSuite Vision

Stryker has completed the first surgical procedure using its FDA-authorized SportSuite Vision application on Apple Vision Pro at Duke Health. The hip arthroscopy was performed by orthopaedic surgeon Dr Chad Mather III at the academic medical centre. SportSuite Vision received FDA De Novo authorization on 17 July, making it the first application approved for intraoperative use with Apple Vision Pro. The technology allows surgeons to view arthroscopic video, HipCheck, HipMap and CT imaging within their field of vision during procedures. The spatial computing application aims to reduce reliance on traditional monitors positioned throughout operating rooms. By bringing multiple data sources into the surgeon's field of view, it supports a more streamlined and ergonomic surgical workflow during complex arthroscopic procedures.

Stryker to acquire ZuriMED's rotator cuff augmentation technology for shoulder portfolio

Stryker has signed a definitive agreement to acquire ZuriMED, a privately held developer of the FiberLocker System for rotator cuff repair. The commercialised soft tissue augmentation technology is designed to provide increased biomechanical strength and reduce clinical failure in rotator cuff procedures. According to Stryker, the acquisition will strengthen its shoulder portfolio and expand support for shoulder specialists across sports medicine and arthroplasty. Rotator cuff augmentation is described as one of the fastest-growing areas in sports medicine and a significant opportunity in shoulder care. The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions. Stryker and ZuriMED will operate as separate entities until closing is complete.

Stryker holds steady despite cyber disruption as robotics drive 9% organic growth
