Requirements
  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • A valid driver's license and a qualified driving record are required.
  • The employee must be able to work periodic overnight and weekend on-call shifts.
  • The employee must be able to frequently lift or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 150 pounds.
  • The employee must be able to handle equipment, gauges, meters, common hand tools, and have some physical contact with patients during equipment training.
  • The employee must comply with applicable laws, rules, regulations, infection-control guidelines, and oxygen-transfilling requirements.
Responsibilities
  • Deliver medical equipment and supplies, educate patients or caregivers on equipment use, maintenance, and benefits, and complete required paperwork.
  • Maintain compliance logs and applicable records and receipts according to policy and procedure.
  • Report compliance or safety issues to the manager.
  • Provide after-hours coverage with other Medical Equipment Technicians.
  • Support training for new Medical Equipment Technicians when requested by the manager.
  • Identify patient needs or revenue opportunities and convey them to Customer Service Representatives for follow-up.
  • Unload and clean the vehicle daily and complete required daily and quarterly maintenance manifests.
  • Maintain warehouse areas, inventory levels, and equipment cleanliness and repair according to policy and procedure.
  • Perform delivery, equipment assembly and setup, vehicle loading and unloading, and related warehouse and inventory tasks.
  • Travel throughout the day to complete deliveries and potentially travel overnight for orientation and continuing education.

  • Residential delivery driver experience.
  • Customer service experience in a medical, insurance, or healthcare setting.
