Talent Strategy, the Human Resources department at Abarca, has the back of our employees when it comes to growth, perks, and support on ways to becoming #PBMAwesome! Within Talent Strategy, this role sits within our Talent Learning & Development team, building and supporting professional growth paths and opportunities. Our Talent Learning & Development team’s goal is to help Abarca and all Abarcans continue to grow in our quest to find a better way and make healthcare awesome. The team is passionate about people and seeks to create growth opportunities for our talent.
As a Performance Lead, you’ll drive talent to grow to their full potential and shine more quickly. The role will execute on our performance-potential calibrations process as well as provide leadership coaching, team coaching and coaching skills trainings. A primary goal is for our employees to eventually use self-coaching strategies that lead to even better performance and productivity.
The role will support our Director of Talent Learning & Development to build, maintain, and guide a network of coaches. It will support other learning and development efforts as needed based on needs, skills, and capacity.
The fundamentals for the job…
- Conduct periodic assessments with key leaders and stakeholder to ensure we have the right talent in the right positions.
- Assists in identifying high potential employees that should be invested in for future work and other levels of leadership
- Shares guidance on career paths.
- Evaluate coaching requests; determine whether and which approach (e.g., face to face, group, online, etc.) is appropriate.
- Document coaching activities to help measure impact and scale programs in an ROI-positive manner.
- Provides hands-on coaching to individuals and teams to support optimal performance.
- Supports the development of an internal coaching and mentoring program.
- Work with the TL&D Director and other Talent Strategy areas to develop and reinforce a culture of talent development.
What we expect of you:
The bold requirements…
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Education, Psychology, Human Resources, Organizational Development, similar field. (In lieu of a degree, equivalent relevant work experience may be considered.)
- 3+ years of experience coaching teams and individuals from a Learning and Development role. Coaching training is a must.
- Experience in establishing leader development program for front-line or mid-level leaders.
- Ability to handle high stakes, “crucial conversations,” while staying objective and steering talent towards productive action.
- Solid emotional intelligence skills and ability to listen, connect, build rapport with employees and leaders.
- Ability to learn and adapt quickly to changing organization scale and process.
- Must be willing to work in a hybrid model with 2 to 3 days working from the offices located in San Juan, Puerto Rico
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
