Requirements
  • Use AI-assisted coding and build automations using current AI engineering practices.
  • Have at least 3 years of software engineering experience, including 1–2 years applying it to marketing, growth, or revenue operations problems.
  • Build with large language model APIs such as Claude or OpenAI and agentic workflows or tool-use patterns.
  • Use Python or JavaScript/Node, REST APIs, and webhooks for scripting and integrations.
  • Integrate with or build on a customer relationship management or marketing automation platform such as Customer.io, HubSpot, or Braze.
  • Use SQL and build or maintain data pipelines.
  • Use event tracking and analytics tools such as PostHog, Amplitude, or Segment.
  • Translate manual marketing workflows into clear technical specifications and deliver them with limited oversight.
Responsibilities
  • Design and build agentic workflows that automate lifecycle triggers, campaign quality assurance, segmentation logic, and reporting.
  • Identify high-leverage marketing workflows for automation in partnership with lifecycle marketing and marketing operations stakeholders.
  • Build internal tools that enable nontechnical marketers to configure and launch automations without engineering support.
  • Evaluate AI and agentic tooling, including Claude, other large language model APIs, and automation platforms, and prototype applications to funnel problems.
  • Own the technical integration layer between Customer.io, Stripe, PostHog, platform event data, and other tools so lifecycle triggers use accurate, real-time data.
  • Support platform and data migrations through scripting, platform expansions, and workflow recreation.
  • Build and maintain data pipelines that feed the Metabase dashboard and partner with Data Engineering to address lifetime-value and cohort-data gaps.
  • Set up and maintain UTM, tracking, and attribution infrastructure.
  • Build technical infrastructure for A/B testing across lifecycle, email, and on-platform messaging.
  • Build self-service reporting tools for marketing stakeholders.
  • Document useful automation builds for newsletters, YouTube accounts, events, or technical blogs when appropriate.
  • Partner with Developer Relations on public case studies or tutorials.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with Stripe or other subscription billing APIs.
  • Familiarity with Customer.io, Hootsuite, or Metabase.
  • Experience writing technical content or documentation for a developer audience.
  • Background in growth engineering, marketing operations engineering, or a similar hybrid role.
  • Familiarity with the AI/ML or technical education landscape.
