Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA designation is preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a warehouse or 3PL environment.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Bill.com, and Microsoft Excel.
- High proficiency in data tool sets like Excel (PowerPivot, Advanced Formulas, Linking to Web and SQL Data), Databricks, Google Drive and QuickBooks Online.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and experience with financial reporting and revenue recognition.
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a remote environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate with team members across departments and contribute to a positive work environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage the monthly and quarterly close process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Oversee customer invoicing and revenue recognition, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and company policy.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analyses.
- Ensure proper maintenance of general ledger accounts, and perform account reconciliations and adjustments as needed.
- Coordinate with Financial Controller to prepare and file sales tax returns and other regulatory filings.
- Assist in the development and implementation of internal controls, policies, and procedures to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of financial operations.
- Provide support for financial audits and assist in implementing audit recommendations.
- Assist the FP&A team with annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting activities to enhance controllership and ensure the organization meets financial goals and targets. Identify and pursue opportunities for reducing working capital.
- Perform ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as required.
