Requirements
  • Minimum 8 years of maintenance experience in multifamily or hospitality environments.
  • Advanced experience in two or more trades, such as electrical, carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, or painting.
  • Working knowledge of appliances.
  • Ability to accurately perform basic mathematical functions.
  • EPA Universal Certification is required.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform the stated physical activities, including standing, walking, reaching, and occasional climbing.
  • Ability to detect auditory and visual alarms.
  • Availability to work extended or flexible hours and weekends as needed.
  • Full-time availability, including some nights, weekends, and occasional holidays.
  • Intermediate computer and Internet knowledge.
  • Ability to use on-site resident management software.
Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day tasks and responsibilities for two or more apartment communities.
  • Set scope, technical specifications, budgets, schedules, material and equipment requirements, subcontractor and vendor bidding, and overall planning and execution for cost-effective facility and maintenance projects.
  • Anticipate potential problems and implement or oversee preventive actions to ensure that community physical assets meet safety and operational procedures.
  • Provide leadership and development for the maintenance team, including scheduling, duties, and performance management.
  • Direct and oversee maintenance work orders and unit turns in a timely manner while providing customer service to residents.
  • Complete unit inspections and maintain orderly documentation.
  • Maintain an inventory of basic personal tools required to perform assigned tasks.
  • Organize, maintain, and use provided supplies cost-effectively.
  • Pre-diagnose and troubleshoot building systems before scheduling repairs.
  • Repair issues involving HVAC, electrical, plumbing, appliances, carpentry, and related systems.
  • Perform on-call service requests and emergency calls as needed.
  • Maintain an appearance appropriate to the company's image.
  • Complete additional tasks assigned by the supervisor.
  • Maintain ongoing professional development through company continuing education programs.
  • Attend and actively participate in company functions and events.
Desired Qualifications
