Requirements
  • A degree, higher education qualification, or equivalent in Hotel Management, culinary arts, or a related field, or 4+ years of related experience in a management capacity across Food and Beverage, Front Office, and Housekeeping.
  • Strong understanding of revenue management, budget control, rostering, payroll, and the Hospitality Industry (General) Award 2020.
  • Comprehension of hotel systems and revenue management principles.
  • Excellent project management skills, with experience working independently on projects and collaborating across functions and departments.
  • Valid Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate, Responsible Person Badge, and First Aid Certificate.
  • Full Australian work rights.
  • Ability to work weekends, afternoons, evenings, and public holidays.
  • Ability to stand for most of the day, bend and kneel, and lift, push, or pull objects weighing up to 23 kg.
Responsibilities
  • Support operations across Front Office, Housekeeping, Food and Beverage, Kitchen, and Engineering, ensuring operational excellence, brand standards, and key performance indicator achievement.
  • Oversee VIP, regular, and IHG One Rewards guests; respond to feedback and complaints; and lead initiatives to improve guest satisfaction, loyalty recognition, and overall guest experience.
  • Analyse HeartBeat, guest, and social media feedback; identify trends; implement action plans; and drive revenue through occupancy, rate, upselling, promotions, and operational efficiencies.
  • Conduct regular hotel inspections; champion workplace health and safety and security; support Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points, risk, and emergency procedures; support Heads of Department; and act as Front Office Duty Manager when required.
  • Foster teamwork, engagement, and collaboration across departments while partnering with Human Resources on recruitment, onboarding, succession, retention, performance management, leadership development, training, recognition, workplace relations, and wellbeing.
  • Monitor labour, build rosters, oversee payroll, and manage purchasing and departmental expenses against budgets and forecasts.
  • Ensure effective workforce planning, financial controls, security, inventory management, and compliance with IHG and hotel policies and procedures.
  • Provide visible leadership during hotel operations and support the team where needed to ensure services run smoothly.
