As an Engineering Manager of Data Platform, you will be a trailblazer, building and leading a high-performing engineering team. Your team will initially focus on building a self-served, exa-byte scale Data Platform for batch data processing, and will eventually expand to include real time data processing. You will set a high technical bar, champion Roblox’s leadership principles, and drive the delivery of innovative products that delight our users.

You Have:

• Proven Leadership: Demonstrated experience leading and scaling engineering teams, ideally in a high-growth environment.
• Experience in engineering management for at least 2 years, including setting roadmap, charter, vision, and important metrics for the engineering team.
• Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of data principles, architectures, and technologies.
• 8+ years of experience with big data tools and technologies like Spark, Flink, optimized Sql, Map Reduce, HDFS, Hive
• Experience with programming languages like Python, Golang, Java, Helm, Terraform
• Experience working with Cloud providers like AWS - S3, EMR, EKS
• A Computer Science or related degree BS or MS graduate
