- No professional experience is required.
- Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider certification is required within 90 days of employment; other resuscitation certifications may be required depending on the department.
- A Wisconsin Audiologist license or a Wisconsin Audiologist Temporary Permit from the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services is required.
- The role requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of objects weighing 0–25 pounds; frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching, and repetitive foot, leg, hand, and arm movements; frequent near and far vision and color identification; frequent hearing and speech for oral communication and ability to hear alarms or malfunctioning machinery; frequent keyboard use and data entry; occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting, and gripping; occasional handling of objects weighing 25–50 pounds; and rare climbing.
- Perform diagnostic testing to assess patients' hearing and vestibular status and determine appropriate treatment.
- Develop, document, implement, and evaluate hearing correction plans of care.
- Provide hearing device modifications.
- Educate and counsel patients, caregivers, and family members on treatment options and continuing care.
- Work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
