Eaton bringing 200+ jobs to Bellevue with $30 million facility. Electrical supply manufacturer to replace former Blue Buffalo plant. Published: Apr. 9, 2026 at 5:23 PM PDT BELLEVUE, Neb. (WOWT) - Eaton, an electrical supply manufacturer and power management company, is coming to Bellevue in a $30 million investment that could create up to 200 jobs in the area. The Bellevue Chamber of Commerce announced the Fortune 500 company will replace the old Blue Buffalo plant. The facility will manufacture switch-gear, technology that supplies power to homes, apartments and AI datacenters. "We selected the Bellevue location because of the talented workforce. We expect to create over 200 engineering, manufacturing, and operation jobs," said Ehsan Behboudi, Eaton plant manager. Bellevue Mayor Rusty Hike said the company's arrival addresses a critical need. "You're always hearing of all the shortages. Apartment buildings are being held up from being built, commercial buildings are being held up from being built because they can't get the electrical supplies," Hike said. Why Bellevue. The city's proximity to Offutt Air Force Base played a role in Eaton's decision. "With Eaton, you have some military that, there's some people in the military that go there four years and they get out. So we have a natural supply of labor force here," Hike said. The company also cited the location's advantages. "There's not a lot of 380-thousand square foot buildings around. The facility they like, the location they like, it's close to the interstate," Hike said. The city plans to use LB-840, a state fund allowing tax dollars to be contributed to economic development. The Bellevue City Council will determine whether the company qualifies. "I think we will really contribute to the community for generations to come," Behboudi said. The facility expects to start production next year.
