Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, plus a minimum of 10 years’ experience, with an emphasis on managing large remedial construction projects
  • P.E. license required
  • Demonstrated ability to lead project teams on self-perform remedial construction projects
  • Strong technical skills to assist site managers in developing cost-effective construction approaches
  • Superior communication skills and ability to listen to clients to understand their needs
  • Ability to travel to construction sites, as needed, on short notice
  • U.S. citizenship required
Responsibilities
  • As a Project Manager, manage environmental remediation projects at industrial client sites and assemble the project team, manage the project scope, schedule and budget to ensure Weston’s commitments and financial goals are met
  • Collaborate with Construction Manager to develop scopes and budgets and monitor execution of design/build environmental remedial construction projects
  • Travel to sites in Alabama and Minnesota as needed to scope projects in the field and monitor execution
  • Build connections with major stakeholders to achieve project objectives and understand stakeholder organizations to ensure successful partnering
  • Identify team and individual strengths to fulfill project goals and develop new leaders
  • Resolve stakeholder and team conflicts with support from other managers
  • Manage project teams by clearly communicating expectations for project requirements, scope, schedule and budget
  • Enable team members to be successful through effective communication of goals and reinforcing goal achievement
  • Communicate with and align team with scope of work
  • Manage changes with the client and project team
  • Utilize project support team capabilities when needed
  • Manage quality and health and safety
  • Assist with proposal efforts, including costing and profitability planning
  • Understand and articulate project scope based upon RFP and/or contract
  • Proactively identify project issues and develop options for corrective action
  • Submit invoices timely and monitor accounts receivable status and take action on overdue accounts
  • Comply with Weston purchasing and subcontracting requirements
  • Procure additional follow-on work from stakeholders
