About the team
As the Brand Marketing Director you’ll be focused on brand strategy and management, brand health, cultural/localization marketing, social media, communications, content marketing and brand campaigns. Your output will be an invigorating blend of digital campaigns, branding, & experiential - plus any big ideas you can dream up & pitch. We’re looking for someone who elevates the craft, and fuels brand growth by influencing and partnering across the organization to connect the dots between marketing, product, and strategy. This strategic leader will shape a brand strategy that elevates the Turo brand, winning the hearts and minds of our target audiences in Canada. They will then bring that strategy to life in the exceptional creative and campaigns they bring to market.
What you’ll do
- Develop and deliver creative concepts and ideas founded on insights across all platforms for briefs
- Oversee the execution of breakthrough integrated marketing programs that build brand awareness, affinity and product adoption in Canada
- Work closely with the marketing team in crafting strategies and insights-driven creative briefs that inspire the internal creative studio and functional partners to deliver results-oriented, brand-differentiating work.
- Partner with marketing leads on their marketing plans, inspiring and empowering them to bring brand/product narratives to life in a globally consistent yet locally relevant way.
- Develop a deep knowledge of our target audience and routinely understand the effectiveness of our marketing programs, promoting a test and learn mindset among the broader team
- Collaborate with Acquisition and Retention teams to strategize on content creation opportunities to ensure a cohesive and consistent customer journey through the funnel
- Work closely with Product, Engineering, Marketing, PR, Legal and company leadership internationally to deliver results
Your profile
- 10+ years of brand marketing expertise, preferably for a global organization
- 5+ years managing a team
- A natural flare for the unique, the buzz-worthy and the culturally relevant
- Ability to think strategically and conceptualize creatively
- Social fluency and a solid understanding of how to drive conversation and engagement across social channels
- Strong presentation and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
