Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Five or more years of related work experience in operational management are required.
  • A valid driver’s license and automobile insurance are required, or reliable alternate transportation that permits timely travel to multiple offices per day.
  • The candidate must complete a motor vehicle record check if using a driver’s license.
  • Knowledge of dental plans, insurance fees, administrative guidelines, limitations and exclusions, reporting systems, business correspondence, business reporting techniques, and profit and loss statements is required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft applications, Epic, 1VU, BOX, and standard office equipment is required.
  • The candidate must be able to read, analyze, and interpret common financial reports and legal documents.
  • The candidate must be able to apply mathematical concepts including probability, statistical inference, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions.
  • The candidate must be able to communicate effectively and present information verbally and in writing.
  • The candidate must be able to lead a team, prioritize duties, coach, mentor, train, write effective performance evaluations, conduct feedback, and handle team member relations issues.
  • The candidate must be able to prioritize tasks and projects with limited direction, interpret and apply policies and procedures, exercise independent judgment, and make timely decisions under pressure.
  • The candidate must be able to identify, analyze, and solve problems and work effectively in a fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous environment.
  • The candidate must be able to create presentations and demonstrate strong presentation skills.
  • The candidate must comply with company policies and applicable state, federal, and other regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
  • Complete the Operations Manager Development Program through structured curriculum, on-the-job practical application, and development meetings.
  • Model company culture, values, standards, and best operational practices while learning to create an environment that promotes the company’s culture and values.
  • Assess, hire, train, supervise, counsel, coach, and retain team members.
  • Assess, investigate, and resolve staff and patient issues by analyzing the facts and circumstances and developing timely, effective solutions.
  • Execute the operational model consistently to meet office imperatives in partnership with the Owner Dentist.
  • Drive year-over-year revenue and profit growth.
  • Manage expenses to achieve monthly goals and budget.
  • Apply cash management and accounting protocols.
  • Support team development of the Perfect Patient Experience.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring to team members and implement opportunities for improvement.
  • Maintain open communication with direct supervisors, report accomplishments and improvement areas weekly to the Regional Manager, and establish performance goals.
  • Develop competency in managing Front Office and Back Office team members by the end of the development program.
  • Develop and implement an office success plan, including staff development and office protocols for efficient operations during manager absences.
  • Maintain professional appearance and demeanor in accordance with company policies.
  • Perform other duties assigned by the direct supervisor that improve team member development outcomes.
Desired Qualifications
  • An associate degree or bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • Five or more years of experience leading a team, mentoring, and coaching subordinates is preferred.
