Requirements
  • A sound knowledge and experience of project cost and commercial management in projects up to £3 million in value.
  • Excellent attention to detail, especially when working with costs and measurements.
  • The ability to organise, plan and prioritise to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • A proven ability to build and maintain a network of professional relationships.
  • Excellent negotiating and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
  • A valid driver's licence and willingness to travel as necessary.
Responsibilities
  • Review construction plans and provide detailed quantity and cost requirements.
  • Collaborate with site managers, clients, consultants, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
  • Provide senior-level support to site-based contract staff and oversee the validation, valuation, and forecasting process on Facilities Management contracts.
  • Provide estimating and work-in-progress support on Schedule of Rates-based Facilities Management contracts.
  • Complete labour loading and pricing schedules for Facilities Management tender returns.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports, analyses, contracts, budgets, risk assessments, and other essential documents.
  • Document changes in design promptly and update budgets to reflect modifications accurately.
  • Establish and foster professional relationships with external and internal stakeholders to facilitate effective project execution.
  • Travel to various sites as required to oversee project progress and address on-site challenges.
Desired Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management.
  • Construction estimating experience within the United Kingdom construction or Facilities Management industry.
