Requirements
  • A graduate Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology is required.
  • New York State licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist is required.
  • New York State teaching certification as a Teacher of the Speech and Hearing Handicapped or Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities is required.
  • An American Speech-Language-Hearing Association Certificate of Clinical Competence is required for individuals who supervise student interns and Clinical Fellowship candidates.
  • Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
Responsibilities
  • Provide quality speech-language pathology therapy services.
  • Assess the current level of function.
  • Develop and implement an appropriate treatment plan.
  • Maintain complete and accurate clinical documentation.
  • Review and cosign documentation completed by Clinical Fellows and students as assigned.
  • Communicate with physicians, interdisciplinary team members, caregivers, vendors, school districts, and county service providers as applicable.
  • Evaluate treatment outcomes and modify treatment plans as needed.
  • Maintain clinical and professional knowledge.
  • Write necessary scripts and communicate diagnoses with physicians and medical professionals.
  • Comply with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements.
  • Supervise assigned Clinical Fellow candidates and student interns.
  • Maintain all continuing education requirements for licensure.
