Responsibilities
  • Operationalize processes to support privacy and data governance controls to manage personal data throughout the lifecycle, including data inventories, data mapping, and privacy by design, data minimization and data retention requirements.
  • Maintain current knowledge of global privacy laws and compliance requirements, specifically the GDPR.
  • Provide guidance and support to internal teams on global privacy requirements including, Lawful bases of processing and data transfer mechanisms.
  • Work with business stakeholders to guide the completion of privacy assessments and Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) related to products, technologies, and vendors to identify and escalate potential privacy concerns.
  • Draft Standard Contractual Clauses and review contract language related to personal data and ensure compliance with business standards and global data protection regulations.
  • Collaborate with legal, engineers, marketing, sales, procurement, information security and other cross-functional teams on privacy inquiries.
  • Manage privacy policies, procedures, documentation, company guidance and workflows.
  • Understand technical terminology to translate between technical and privacy teams on regulatory requirements.
  • Manage team mailboxes to respond to privacy queries.
  • Exhibit personal ownership and accountability for continuous improvement.
  • Identify critical issues with ease. Exhibit confidence and knowledge of privacy best practices.
  • Complete special projects as requested.
