  • Experienced clinical nursing skills.

  • Required vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, as well as the ability to adjust focus.
Responsibilities
  • Participate as a team member in implementing the nursing process in collaboration with a Registered Nurse.
  • Provide care for a group of patients spanning all ages, cultures, and disability concerns during a designated time frame.
  • Function within hospital policies, practice guidelines, nursing standards, the Massachusetts Nurse Practice Act, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention standards, Occupational Safety and Health Administration standards, and other applicable regulatory or accreditation requirements.
  • Assist with training, onboarding, and professional development efforts for new and existing clinical team members, including Medical Assistants.
  • Mentor office staff and facilitate team development.
  • Prepare examination rooms for providers between patient contacts.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment for patients and coworkers by following standards and procedures.
  • Review, interpret, and manage clinical documentation.
  • Manage prior authorization and referral processes.
  • Assist with inbox management and refills according to Sturdy Memorial Associates policy.
  • Schedule new and established patient appointments.
  • Complete provider requests in a timely manner.
  • Treat patients, colleagues, and visitors with dignity and respect while being sensitive to differing needs across age groups, backgrounds, characteristics, and cultures.
