We are seeking an experienced Illumio Engineer to join our cybersecurity team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining Illumio’s micro-segmentation solutions to secure our organization’s applications and infrastructure. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, identify security risks, and implement effective micro-segmentation policies.

Responsibilities

- Design and implement micro-segmentation strategies using Illumio’s Adaptive Security Platform (ASP)

- Analyze application traffic flows and create secure micro-perimeters around critical assets

- Develop and maintain Illumio security policies, rules, and enforcement points

- Collaborate with application owners, infrastructure teams, and security analysts to understand security requirements

- Monitor and troubleshoot Illumio deployments, ensuring optimal performance and security

- Stay up-to-date with the latest Illumio product releases, features, and best practices

- Provide training and support to other teams on Illumio’s micro-segmentation solutions

- Participate in incident response and forensic investigations related to Illumio deployments

- Contribute to the continuous improvement of security processes and procedures

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

- 3+ years of experience with Illumio’s Adaptive Security Platform (ASP) or similar micro-segmentation solutions

- Strong understanding of network security concepts, protocols, and architectures

- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and automation tools

- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and virtualization technologies

- Knowledge of security frameworks, compliance standards, and best practices

- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills

- Strong communication and collaboration abilities

- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Preferred Qualifications

- Illumio Certified Professional (ICP) or similar certification

- Experience with container security and Kubernetes environments

- Knowledge of security information and event management (SIEM) tools

- Understanding of DevOps practices and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines

- Understanding of Zero Trust Architecture, Design, and Deployment
