  • 3+ years of experience in spacecraft component or spacecraft manufacturing
  • Hands on experience complex mechanical systems and assemblies, within a space environment
  • Prior experience with spacecraft assembly, integration, and test
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks
  • Experience with standards such as IPC, AS9100, or NASA
  • Working knowledge of product development methodologies such as Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Statistical Process Control (SPC)
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing systems: PLM, ERP, MES, and QMS
  • In depth understanding of manufacturing processes and quality control
Responsibilities
  • Support spacecraft and component level mechanical and electrical manufacturing
  • Create mechanical and electrical assembly instructions for components and spacecrafts, focusing on streamlining build processes and increasing yield
  • Provide a hands-on and technical support for manufacturing operations
  • Lead investigation, resolution, and root cause/corrective action for non-conformances
  • Design fixturing and tooling to aide component and spacecraft manufacturing
  • Assist in the implementation of a manufacturing system, including MRP, MES, and QMS
  • Contribute to design reviews and new product introduction, acting as the subject matter expert for design for manufacturability, procurability, and testability
  • Coordinate with design engineering to incorporate design for manufacturability feedback
  • Design and implement change in the factory floor layout, to increase visual production flow and utilization
