Requirements
  • 8+ years experience working as an events planner, producer or manager and have successfully led multi stakeholder, time-sensitive, cross-functional projects and event programs
  • A good knowledge of existing online event platforms and high comfort level with managing events on Zoom
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Comfortable working with spreadsheets and data management systems. Airtable and Salesforce are a plus
  • Ability to lead, collaborate and work with a diverse team across various geographies, including groups with varying levels of experience with online events and making events accessible to people with disabilities, non-English speakers, etc
  • Strong time management skills with ability to multi-task across projects
  • Exceptional relationship-building skills, organizational awareness, and ability to persuade others to accomplish project objectives
  • Strong attention to detail, clear sharing of timelines, project plans, and progress
  • A positive attitude and an ability to build relationships across program teams
  • Ability to work with highly-technical staff and grassroots/community-based partners alike
  • Experience working within the social justice space or capacity building field is preferred
Responsibilities
  • Work with the Senior Operations and Events Manager to ensure all MCB events have support. Including sourcing and onboarding additional event contractors and vendors to support where needed
  • Support team operations as needed, including but not limited to: vender negotiations, contracting, vendor management and invoice tracking
  • Work with the MCB strategists on events from planning to execution and evaluation
  • Create and improve administrative processes and guidance documents
  • Manage all communication with event participants and training teams as needed
  • Create and maintain project and event documents around budgeting, timelines, and various workflows
  • Partner with the Training and Program Manager to consistently deliver the Central Training Program for all CZI grantees and partners. Including application processes and communications, monitoring and tracking program data, virtual event logisitcs and more
  • Ensure all events are accessible
  • Travel as required, potentially up to 30% of the time. Events will typically take place inside typical working hours (9am -5pm PT) but flexibility is required as some evening and weekend events do take place
