Requirements
  • A current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is required.
  • Two years of women's health experience is required.
Responsibilities
  • Complete obstetric intake appointments, including all required medical history and education.
  • Maintain a personal EPIC patient list to track patients through each trimester.
  • Maintain a practice-specific obstetric patient list to track transfers, projections, and transfer details.
  • Complete ONAF documentation three times during each pregnancy episode for all state insurance plan patients in accordance with state guidelines.
  • Complete FMLA paperwork as requested.
  • Complete check-in calls at 16 weeks, 28 or 30 weeks, and one week postpartum.
  • During check-in calls, confirm that laboratory work is current, review educational folder contents, ensure patients are current with routine appointments at obstetric and maternal-fetal medicine offices, and review scheduling for prenatal education courses.
  • Complete depression screening for each trimester and during the postpartum call.
  • Coordinate appointments with pregnancy specialists, anesthesia, and the neonatal intensive care unit.
  • Review and document educational classes in flowsheets.
  • Review community resources, including the Nurse-Family Partnership, and place referrals appropriately.
  • Assess patients and provide treatment, knowledge of growth and development, and communication appropriate to the age of the patient.
  • Meet the physical and sensory requirements of the role, including prolonged sitting and standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, bending, reaching, and adequate hearing, vision, touch, and speech.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • A current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in both the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the State of New Jersey is preferred.
