Requirements
  • JD from an accredited law school and active membership in the Texas State Bar, or ability to obtain admission within 60 days of starting.
  • 1–4 years of experience as a licensed attorney.
  • Foundational commercial transactional knowledge.
  • Genuine interest in, or willingness to learn, the renewable energy and HVAC industries.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • High integrity, professionalism, attention to detail, and sound judgment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams.
  • Ability to work in-office in Austin, Texas.
  • Ability to perform light lifting and carrying under 15 pounds, and to walk, stand, and sit as required.

Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day legal support to Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Supply Chain alongside the leadership team.
  • Manage and respond to customer dispute matters, including cancellations, liens, and collections.
  • Prepare and respond to demand letters, regulatory inquiries, and pre-litigation correspondence.
  • Draft and review settlement and release agreements, and support legal review of customer compensation decisions.
  • Support mechanic's lien compliance across operating states and respond to lender and third-party notices.
  • Draft, review, and redline residential and commercial agreements, including installation, subcontractor, service, and terms-and-conditions agreements.
  • Support vendor onboarding by confirming compliance throughout the contract lifecycle.
  • Assist with corporate secretarial work, including entity management, company policies, and licensing.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda and presentations on relevant regulatory topics.
  • Build and maintain legal templates, guidelines, and in-house policies.
  • Manage legal matter intake and triage matters from start to resolution.
  • Coordinate with outside counsel on litigation holds, document preservation, and discovery.
  • Support leadership on strategic, cross-functional projects.

  • Exposure to consumer law, construction law, energy law, or project finance.
