Requirements
  • Experience managing a small to mid-sized team
  • Thorough knowledge of Audiokinetic Wwise, and working understanding of other industry-standard audio engines
  • Aptitude in audio-facing budget and staff planning
  • Games industry experience in an audio capacity, leading, managing, or directing audio across multiple disciplines on one or more high-profile projects
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external partners
  • Experience leading a team in developing relationships with creative teams to aid in the iterative creative process
  • Being a positive mentor for other individuals on the Bungie Audio Team
  • Ability to effectively lead a team through ambiguity
Responsibilities
  • Enable the creation and acquisition of all required SFX, Music, and Dialogue assets required for initial product release
  • Ensure broad alignment around a shared creative audio vision for a new franchise, encompassing stylistic consistency of all SFX, Music, and Dialogue
  • Develop, build upon, and advocate for the shared audio vision, both artistic and technical, based on the creative pillars of the project
  • Manage a project audio team consisting of Leads and ICs in SFX, Music, and Dialogue
  • Promote positive work habits within the team to support life work harmony and best-in-class development practices
  • Work with studio Audio Team Managers and Leads to appropriately staff the project audio team
  • Set projections and then manage project audio outsourcing and external development contracts and budgets
  • Represent the project audio team to the broader Bungie Audio Team and Studio, sharing a cohesive narrative around their work and goals and driving practices that enable attention to sound during presentations and playtests
Desired Qualifications
  • Demonstrated mastery of industry-standard audio production tools
  • Experience working on a live game ("game as a service")
