Requirements
  • Ability to interact positively with residents, families, and regulatory agencies and work collaboratively with employees at all levels.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in preparing and serving meals and snacks in accordance with established portion control procedures.
  • Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, floors, dishes, and utensils.
  • Distribute menus and verify meal trays for accuracy, including menu selections and prescribed diet requirements.
  • Ensure proper storage and handling of food and supplies in compliance with safety standards.
  • Follow Universal Precautions and all sanitary, safety, and infection control policies and procedures.
  • Understand, comply with, and promote rules regarding residents’ rights.
  • Ensure adequate food and supplies are available for upcoming meals; assist with inventory control and proper storage of incoming items.
  • Attend and actively participate in training sessions, educational activities, and staff meetings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in a healthcare food service setting is preferred.
  • Long-term care experience is a plus.
