Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in business, a technical field, or a related field is preferred.
  • Relevant certifications such as Certified Public Accountant, Certified Internal Auditor, Certified Information Systems Auditor, Certified Fraud Examiner, or Project Management Professional, or progress toward certification, are desired.
  • Typically, four to six years of experience in audit, risk management, or a related field is required.
  • Experience in the insurance and financial services industry is preferred.
  • Applied knowledge of audit, business, and information technology general concepts and theory is required.

Responsibilities
  • Participate in and lead aspects of planning activities, including conducting client interviews, identifying key risks and controls, developing the audit plan, and communicating expectations with the auditee or client.
  • Test multiple business and technology controls for multiple audits concurrently, independently execute control testing, and document results according to professional and internal standards.
  • Use analytics and data-visualization tools to perform full-population testing.
  • Identify and document issues and process-improvement opportunities through control testing, partner with clients to vet issue details, discuss risk-mitigation activities, and follow up on mitigation activities through resolution.
  • Mentor and coach less experienced staff, review work performed by other team members, and provide upward and downward feedback.
  • Develop relationships across the enterprise to provide service to customers and act as a trusted business advisor to clients and internal risk partners.
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Nationwide has reported record financial results for 2025, entering its centennial year with total adjusted capital of $32.8 billion, the highest in its 100-year history.
