Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership of the technology due diligence process for potential acquisitions, including the assessment of IT infrastructure, applications, cybersecurity, data management, and technology-related risks to business operations.
  • Identify potential integration challenges and develop strategic plans to address them.
  • Collaborate with the M&A Deal team to evaluate the technical capabilities and synergies of target companies, providing critical insights that influence deal structure and negotiations.
  • Ensure all technology-related aspects of the deal are thoroughly analyzed, documented, and communicated to the executive leadership team.
  • Develop and lead the execution of comprehensive technology integration plans for acquired companies, ensuring alignment with the company’s overall technology strategy and business goals.
  • Oversee the migration of data, systems, and applications, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations and client service.
  • Manage and prioritize multiple integration projects simultaneously, ensuring that timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
  • Establish integration metrics and KPIs to measure success and report progress to senior leadership.
  • Ensure post-Go-Live issues and administrative clean up is performed, any necessary rework addressed.
  • Supervise transition of deals from MAI to Steady-State run operation, ensuring any outstanding action items and long term considerations are planned.
  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing M&A technology integration team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with internal IT, cybersecurity, and project management teams to ensure smooth integration and transition of acquired companies.
  • Serve as a key point of contact between the technology department and other functional areas, ensuring alignment and collaboration across the organization.
  • Engage with senior executives and other key stakeholders to communicate integration progress, challenges, and risks, ensuring transparency and proactive problem-solving.
  • Partner with M&A executives, technology, human resources, legal, cyber security, compliance, and finance teams to ensure all technology aspects of the integration comply with regulatory requirements and financial objectives.
  • Liaise with external vendors, consultants, and partners as needed to support integration efforts.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technology trends and best practices in M&A integration, ensuring the company remains at the forefront of technological innovation.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and optimize the integration process, leveraging automation, tools, and best practices.
  • Contribute to the development of the company’s long-term technology roadmap, ensuring that M&A activities support the overall vision and growth objectives.
