Requirements
  • Minimum 8 years of HR experience and proven expertise in the talent management function
  • Experience in diagnosis of development needs, gaps and action planning and implementation in a manufacturing environment or heavy industry
  • Strong desire to democratize and develop simple and down to earth solutions adapted to an operational environment
  • Previous Talent Management and(or) HRBP experience in providing strategic recommendations to both corporate and field clients; demonstrated track record of influencing and advising at all levels
  • Expertise in operationalizing talent strategies in a global, complex, matrixed organization
  • Ability to manage several complex projects simultaneously while maintaining deadlines and stakeholder goals
  • Bachelors’ degree in a relevant field
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Operations teams to build a Retention and Engagement strategy and plan as well as support employee engagement in the region defining actions to improve employee experience
  • Own the execution of the Alcoa talent management cycle in the region including co-leading People Reviews, succession management discussions and people review follow ups
  • Be accountable in increasing adoption to PDP (Talent Management) by running webinars, coaching leaders, and employees
  • In collaboration with HR, create workforce and action plans, proactively identifying skills and roles to identify organization gaps including retirement, skills gaps, org gaps
  • Identify learning and development needs through Talent Review and ongoing discussions with functions HR, business leaders and employees
  • Promote learning and development enablers such as mentoring, gigs, coaching, etc., identifying the targeted solution for each situation
  • Serve as ambassador in supporting global and regional consistency, aligning with global L&D governance on learning processes, delivery platforms, tracking, assessment, and evaluations
  • Voice of the operations NoA into the Global IDE strategy ensuring relevance and cultural translation across the functions
  • Partner with regional and global HR to infuse diversity, inclusion and equity into HR policies and practices
  • Collaborate with HR and IGs on the creation and implementation of targeted development programs, IDE training, and interventions that lead to measurable results and long-term behavior change.
