The QA Analyst – Email reports to a QA Lead. The QA Analyst – Email will be responsible for validating functionality, design, and content against documented test plans/test processes and protocols.
You will:
- To validate an email by verifying (but not limited to):
- Rendering across devices, operating systems, and browser/email clients.
- Reviewing alt and title tags in HTML.
- Ensuring links are active and direct to the correct location.
- Reviewing URL redirect behavior.
- Confirming digital experiences are as expected (e.g., dynamic content business rules and/or personalization are correct).
- Checking content and copy accuracy to match brand guidelines.
- To identify errors and report them clearly to producers and developers.
- To liaise with internal teams (e.g., developers and product managers) to identify requirements and resolve defects.
- To create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
- To perform and take ownership of testing activities.
- To design, develop, and execute automation scripts using defined tools (where applicable).
- To identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs.
- To perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.
- To monitor the process of fixing bugs and ensure the success of corrections.
- To investigate the causes of non-conforming software.
- To track quality assurance metrics.
- To stay up to date with new testing tools and test strategies.
- To raise flags to the QA Lead on needs and opportunities for improvement in quality practices.
- To follow RAPP IO Agile governance approaches, such as ticket descriptions, metrics, dashboards, and reporting.
- To collaborate with project management teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- To follow RAPP IO standards and support the overall success of this group within the organization.
- To evaluate and promote teamwork, initiative, work ethic, adherence to values, and report findings to discipline leads.
- To ensure effective communication and promote a sense of participation and involvement.
- To maintain, refine, and continuously improve QA documentation and workflow processes.
You have:
- Advanced English Proficiency (B2 reading, writing, and conversation).
- Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Applied Computing, Software Engineering or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in campaign engineering/marketing operations.
- Proficient in email rendering tools: Litmus / Email on Acid.
- Basic knowledge of Email Service Provider / Marketing Automation platforms.
- Basic understanding of URL redirects and query string/tracking parameters.
- Basic HTML experience.
