Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- Understanding of ISO 9001 and basic quality management system requirements is required.
- Basic computer and mathematics skills are required.
- Blueprint reading ability is required.
- The ability to work with minimal supervision is required.
- The ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance is required.
- The employee must be able to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, heat, and machinery.
- The employee must be able to lift 50 pounds regularly throughout the workday.
- The employee must be able to stand for up to two hours at a time.
- Work must be performed on site during normal business hours.
Responsibilities
- Ensure product and service conformance with the company's Quality Management Systems.
- Inspect and audit products and services, including in-process, final, first article, and receiving inspections or audits.
- Use manual measuring gauges such as micrometers and calipers, as well as Keyence, Vertex, and coordinate measuring machine equipment, to gather measurements.
- Identify, segregate, and report defective or out-of-specification materials.
- Maintain accurate written records.
- Prioritize work and meet deadlines in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations to identify root causes and support lean or continuous-improvement projects.
- Develop and maintain inspection methods.
- Ensure quality procedures and processes are followed.
- Assist with problem-solving and continuous-improvement activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Desired Qualifications
- An associate degree in Quality Technician is preferred.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills are preferred.
- Strong organizational, follow-up, and attention-to-detail skills are preferred.
- Experience with coordinate measuring machines or vision systems is preferred.
- Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing experience is preferred.
