Requirements
  • At least 8 years of experience performing and managing building hazardous material surveys, abatement oversight, and design and/or industrial hygiene projects, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and education.
  • Technical experience directly related to building hazardous materials, including asbestos and lead paint.
  • Experience in industrial hygiene, mold, or indoor air quality.
  • Completion of 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training.
  • EPA AHERA Asbestos Inspector Certification.
  • New England state-specific asbestos licenses and certifications for Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, and Connecticut, or eligibility to obtain them.
  • A valid driver's license and the ability to pass AECOM's Motor Vehicle Records review.
  • U.S. citizenship.
  • Technical project execution, project management, and business development experience.
  • Ability to independently manage field efforts and deliver associated reports for hazardous building material surveys and industrial hygiene projects.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and/or self-perform hazardous building material and industrial hygiene projects for private- and public-sector clients.
  • Collaborate with licensed and certified professionals and technical and regulatory specialists on survey and investigation work, abatement/remediation design, and abatement/remediation projects.
  • Provide technical and regulatory leadership for projects throughout New England, the United States, and internationally.
  • Develop proposals, including work scopes, budgets, and schedules, for hazardous building material surveys, design, abatement, and industrial hygiene projects.
  • Manage or review technical work and field activities, including oversight to confirm work complies with contracted scope, budget, schedule, and regulatory and industry standards.
  • Review, coordinate, or prepare written reports, work plans, and technical memoranda; analyze data and develop supported conclusions.
  • Collaborate with teams within the EHS department, Environment business line, and other internal business lines.
  • Identify opportunities to increase project efficiency and add value to client service offerings.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities and support department growth through internal and external sales.
  • Engage effectively with team members, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Manage the quality of field efforts and project deliverables.
  • Support the mentorship and growth of staff.
