Requirements
  • At least three years of industrial plant experience repairing and maintaining high voltage electrical equipment and electronic instrumentation/control systems
  • High School diploma
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Electrical journeyman’s license or solid technical experience, and have, or quickly obtain MA 1C/2C/3A Hoisting licenses
  • Basic understanding of power plant fundamentals including boiler and turbine operation, ash handling equipment, and pollution control equipment
  • PLCs (Allen Bradley RSVIEW, RSLOGIX 5000, ControlLogix, Omron)
  • Foxboro I/A Digital Control System
  • VFDs 4160/480V
  • Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMs) / Continuous Opacity Monitoring (COMs) maintenance and troubleshooting components / analyzers
  • Control valves, damper drives and process control transmitters, electronic and pneumatic controls calibration and maintenance
  • Switchgear 120V to 115KV
  • MCC Controls
  • 125VDC and UPS systems

  • Process loop controllers
  • Ability to test, troubleshoot, and PM various motors ranging from 1-2000 AC/DC horsepower
  • P&IDs, schematics, and equipment manuals for electrical equipment installation, troubleshooting, and programming
  • Willingness and ability to help redesign instrumentation, control, and electrical systems as required
  • Test equipment such as Megger, DLRO, and Digital Multimeters
  • Fire alarm systems, camera systems (IP and analog), access control, fiber data networking
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook, and Maintenance Management Program (ALM)
Responsibilities
  • Effectively complete preventive maintenance tasks per maintenance schedule to prevent breakdowns of equipment and operational downtime
  • Must be able to effectively respond to changing plant priorities when directed by supervisor
  • Utilize root-cause analysis skills to investigate breakdowns and line stoppages, collaborating with various teams and stakeholders
  • Prioritize work to ensure timely maintenance, repair and installation of equipment, tools, and utility systems to minimize production downtime and complete all required paperwork and documentation in ALM
  • Open and close out work orders, check out spare parts, and other activities as required in the plant using the defined maintenance documentation program
  • Repair and/or maintain the operating condition of industrial production or processing machinery or equipment including inspection, assembly, disassembly, and replacement as necessary
  • Observe and evaluate machinery or equipment operation to diagnose malfunctions using mechanical devices
  • Review maintenance reports and statistics to plan and modify maintenance activities
  • Inspect operating machines and equipment for conformance with operational and safety performance standards
  • Maintain work areas in a safe, clean and orderly manner, and perform post-job cleanup
  • Perform duties as directed by supervisor in support of maintenance and operational departments to meet business needs
  • Willingness to be trained to operate equipment with a telescoping boom and scissor lift and other mobile equipment
  • Ability to work overtime on a rotating on-call schedule to support plant operations including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to work in all locations within the plant, under extremes of hot and cold, and in areas of dust, noise, and wet conditions; capable of climbing ladders up to 345 feet and working at heights with fall protection; able to lift up to 50 pounds; perform manual tasks such as pushing, pulling, sweeping, and shoveling
