Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and 15+ years of strategic communications experience including corporate, consumer, social impact, and social media
  • Demonstrable expertise in building, mentoring, and retaining a high-performing communications team
  • Proven success in building and implementing communications programs that drive awareness and garner earner media attention
  • Proven success in developing thought leadership programs that enhance brands
  • Outstanding writing, editing, and verbal communication skills
  • Strong understanding of the media landscape, with reporter relationships
  • Ability to strategically plan and tactically execute high-impact communications programs
  • Experience applying data to measure results, test, learn, iterate and inform decision making and strategy

Responsibilities
  • Play a leadership role in building a communications function that drives world-class communications programs in support of Age of Learning's business goals
  • Increase awareness for Age of Learning and its portfolio of products among key audiences, including consumers and educators, through proactive communications, strategic storytelling, owned content, and ongoing media relations
  • Develop thought leadership strategies that drive our corporate and product brands forward
  • Manage media relations, including maintaining relationships with key journalists in the business/tech and education press
  • Lead internal communications activities
  • Be a trusted partner to senior Age of Learning leaders
