Requirements
  • A passion for everything to do with data and already have top-level experience working in data modeling and quantitative analysis.
  • 4+ years experience performing business intelligence, data modeling, machine learning algorithm development, or quantitative analysis.
  • An ability to solve challenging problems and provide innovative practical solutions quickly and efficiently.
  • Excellent data science and machine learning engineering skills, including a working knowledge of statistics packages and languages (eg. Python or R, Jupyter, SQL), knowledge of common statistical modeling techniques, and the ability to critically analyze data with probing questions and individual research.
  • Strong presentation skills. Comfortable explaining data solutions in a business context to multiple stakeholders, e.g. product managers, senior management, etc.
  • Flexible mindset and the ability to prototype and change direction rapidly as research evolves.
  • A strong drive to continue learning and developing.
Responsibilities
  • Working with stakeholders to gather requirements, refine product concepts, and implement the data modeling and algorithm development needed to turn them into reality.
  • Supporting advanced customer requests.
  • Helping create, customize, and optimize model, metrics, and implementation pipelines.
  • Writing tests for implementation of machine learning models.
  • Developing the heart of Sensor Tower’s products, current and future.
  • Creating and customizing Sensor Tower models and metrics.
  • Identifying relationships within large and seemingly unrelated data.
  • Analyzing public data that could be used to complement current and future projects.
  • Understanding the entire Sensor Tower system from a data point of view.
  • Working with other Machine Learning Engineers, Data Scientists, Data Analysts, and Software Engineers to deliver high quality data products.
  • Identifying performance bottlenecks and providing optimization solutions.
  • Creating quality indicators and diagnostics tools.
  • Communicating well and clearly with teams and team members across multiple time zones, countries, and job functions.
  • Helping establish cross-functional interactions to increase efficiency of successful deliverables.
Desired Qualifications
  • 3+ years work experience performing business intelligence, data modeling, machine learning algorithm development, quantitative analysis for Internet or technology companies. (Experience in financial or medical industries can also be helpful).
  • MS (PhD preferred) in Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Econometrics, Computational Biology or related field.
  • A passion for digital content and mobile apps.
  • Experience with software engineering and writing production-level code.
  • Experience working with mobile market intelligence data.
  • Experience with big data frameworks using Spark.

SYBO and Hipster Whale announced recently that their two popular mobile titles, Subway Surfer and Crossy Road (respectively) have crossed over as part of a special event. The titles shared characters, limited-time events and rewards for their respective fanbases, a first-of-its-kind event for two of the most popular mobile games in the world. So how did the two games come together?The crossover lasted for three weeks, with Crossy Road getting a Subway Surfers-themed world with Jake, Tricky and other Subway Surfers characters; and Subway Surfers got a limited Crossy Road-themed event with rewards such as fowl costumes for Jake and Tricky.
