Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent with four years of formal training beyond high school (e.g., Bachelor's Degree)
- Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) required
- Professional Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Four years experience in the field
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage program operations
- State license: New Hampshire (NH)
Responsibilities
- Facilitate improvement in overall quality, completeness and compliance of clinical documentation in the medical record.
- Clarify clinical documentation through extensive medical record review and interaction with physicians, nursing staff and other caregivers using coding and clinical documentation expertise.
- Manage a concurrent query process to accurately capture the appropriate documentation.
- Educate all members of the patient care team on appropriate documentation to support the use of hospital resources and the acuity of patients served.
