Responsibilities
  • Maintain an ISO 9001/AS9100 Quality Management System
  • Create or direct product quality documentation system
  • Coordinate inspections including receiving, in-process, source, and final inspections
  • Lead Material Review Board activity and root-cause analysis
  • Interface with supplier and customer quality representatives
  • Oversee material control, welding and inspection activity
  • Establish operational objectives for the QA team
  • Instruct quality assurance personnel on quality control and analytical procedures
  • Develop and monitor departmental budget
  • Interact with supervisors, outside customers, and functional peer groups
  • Ensure the QA and manufacturing working environments are clean, organized and safe
  • Support concurrent engineering efforts by participating in design development projects
  • Ensure the established quality policy and quality objectives are met
  • Communicate quality issues, trends and losses to all relevant organizational departments
