Requirements
  • A high school diploma or General Educational Development credential is required.
  • Completion of a Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience of three years as a Medical Assistant is required.
  • A current Licensed Practical Nurse license from New Hampshire or a compact state is required.
  • Current basic life support and cardiopulmonary resuscitation training is required.
Responsibilities
  • Participate in the care of patients in person, via telephone phone screening, and through telehealth modalities under the supervision of the providers.
  • Perform functions delegated by providers and Registered Nurses, including administering prescribed medications, treatments, and immunizations; conducting point-of-care testing; and collecting and handling specimens within the appropriate scope of practice.
  • Collect and screen patients' history and health-related information and communicate findings to the providers.
  • Communicate provider advice, instructions, and the plan of care to patients.
  • Document care activities in the medical record, including procedures, interventions, patient and family communication, and test results, with accuracy and detail.
Desired Qualifications
  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing is preferred.
  • One year of experience in a medical practice or healthcare setting is preferred.
