Requirements
- 2-5 years of experience in a corporate or startup environment.
- A Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance (B.Com or equivalent).
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and accounting software, preferably Zoho Books.
- Understanding of basic accounting principles and taxation, including goods and services tax and tax deducted at source.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Responsibilities
- Record and maintain day-to-day financial transactions, including purchases, receipts, sales, and payments.
- Follow up with customers for payments.
- Assist in preparing and reviewing financial statements and reports.
- Perform bank reconciliations and monitor bank transactions.
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure accuracy in financial entries.
- Process invoices, receipts, and payments in a timely manner.
- Support month-end and year-end close processes.
- Assist with goods and services tax, tax deducted at source, and other statutory compliances and returns.
- Help prepare supporting documents for audits and internal reviews.
- Coordinate with vendors and clients regarding accounting-related queries.
Desired Qualifications
- CA Intermediate qualification.
- Experience with enterprise resource planning systems or cloud-based accounting tools.
- Exposure to payroll accounting and management information systems reporting.
