Requirements
  • An associate degree in a related field is required.
  • Three years of related experience in apprenticeship programs or journeyperson status, enrollment and registration, adult education, curriculum and programming, or related duties is required.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
  • The ability and willingness to travel to other campuses in the service area is required.
  • The ability to work collaboratively and effectively with staff members, students, administrators, and local business leaders is required.
  • The ability to be productive in time-sensitive and high-pressure situations is required.
  • The ability to promote an inclusive environment that reflects the diversity and backgrounds of students and employees is required.
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate directly with the Apprenticeship Development Manager to manage the internal aspects of potential and current apprenticeship programs and Achieve Your Degree students.
  • Assist students with Achieve Your Degree requirements, including applications, Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act matters, vouchers, and day-to-day communication, to support transition to enrollment services.
  • Organize apprenticeship student enrollment, including communication with students and trade organizations, collaboration with school deans and program chairs for course creation, student registration, financial tracking, data entry, and coordination of Department of Labor and Department of Workforce Development requirements.
  • Coordinate communication with apprenticeship contacts and maintain spreadsheets containing apprentice enrollment data, courses, and grades for timely employer reports.
  • Collaborate with departments such as the Registrar and Business Office to ensure documentation is accurately filed and invoices are processed efficiently.
  • Complete all Banner input for employer partnership participants.
  • Collect and organize accurate, compliant data to meet contractual obligations for the Department of Labor, Department of Workforce Development, employers, and grants.
  • Provide academic advising for new and continuing apprentices by aligning company curriculum expectations with Ivy Tech requirements, students' majors, and work schedules.
  • Use orientation and ongoing communication to help students define personal and academic goals, introduce them to My Ivy, and support them through enrollment steps and other issues.
  • Assist in developing, managing, and maintaining the database of company-sponsored apprenticeship students.
  • Assist the Apprenticeship Development Manager with activities to grow company Achieve Your Degree and apprenticeship programs.
  • Order and maintain supplies for employer partner programs and maintain appropriate documents.
  • Perform other duties logically associated with the position as assigned.
  • Conduct responsibilities within the parameters of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act, applicable regulatory requirements, and professional standards.
