Responsibilities
  • Teach and instruct kindergarten students in academic, social, behavioral, and related skill areas.
  • Plan, develop, organize, implement, and assess a comprehensive educational program tailored to students' abilities and interests.
  • Use technology and integrate technology into learning activities; instruct and monitor students in using learning materials and equipment.
  • Observe, evaluate, encourage, and provide feedback on students' performance and development.
  • Plan, organize, and implement an instructional program that guides students toward their academic potential.
  • Manage classroom behavior by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures and applying appropriate disciplinary measures when necessary.
  • Use new teaching methods and educational tools; prepare and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning and communicate clear objectives.
  • Provide student support, counsel students with academic problems, and support extracurricular activities, clubs, and student organizations.
  • Participate in department, school, and parent meetings.
  • Maintain accurate and complete records of students' progress and development and prepare required reports.
  • Assist with other school programs as assigned.
