About the Role

Houzz is looking for a team-player with strong communication skills and superb attention to detail to take on the role of Associate Accountant. In this position, you will work closely with the Revenue Accounting Manager in all aspects of Marketplace revenue accounting.

What You’ll Do

• Assist with month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing procedures

• Prepare necessary journal entries

• Prepare monthly account reconciliations

• Monitor system entries weekly

• Validate vendor payment runs

• Work with auditors on annual audits

• Maintain documentation of processes related to accounting procedures and internal controls

• Participate in ad-hoc projects as required

At a Minimum, We’d Like You to Have

• A college degree with a B.S. in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• Proficiency in MS Office Suite, especially Excel 

• Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize and adhere to tight deadlines

• A precision- and detail-oriented mindset with strong analytical skills

• Solid communication skills (written and verbal); strong interpersonal skills including conscientiousness, diplomacy, flexibility, and dependability; ability to maintain confidentiality

• An ability to work effectively within a team, as well as independently and cross-functionally 

• A trustworthy, positive, energetic and optimistic attitude with a willingness to roll up your sleeves

Compensation, Benefits and Perks

This role has an annual starting salary range of $60,000 - $80,000. In addition to salary, you’re eligible for competitive benefits that support you and your family as part of your total rewards package at Houzz. Also, depending on the role, you could be eligible for an equity award. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors, including, but not limited to, skills, experience, and specific work location.
