Software Engineer, Senior
The Opportunity:
We’re looking for a passionate full-stack software engineer to work with a fast-paced, highly collaborative software development team building and launching capability for enterprise web-based systems in the cybersecurity field.
You’ll have the opportunity to work on automation of nation-level, mission-critical security processes, workflows, and sensor data in risk management, compliance, vulnerability management, and continuous monitoring. You’ll be responsible for breaking down customer requirements and designing solutions to complex business rules. You’ll develop robust, secure, performant, and production-grade features, test system functionality, and document functionality. You’ll leverage your technical expertise in web technologies, configuration management, software, and data to modernize and re-factor traditional web application components.
You’ll break down tasks, assign tasks, review designs, peer review code, and be responsible for implementation schedule. You’ll use your communication skills to work with a diverse team of analysts and engineers to build, test, and operate system capabilities. You’ll use expertise with full-stack web application development, an understanding of programming fundamentals and object-oriented design principles, and be able to learn new languages, technologies, and codebases quickly. You’ll work independently on features while collaborating with a team to review code and solve problems.

You Have:
6+ years of experience with requirements, development, testing, and scheduling of complex web application features
6+ years of experience with object-oriented programming, such as C# or Java
6+ years of experience with web development languages, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
4+ years of experience with high-scale relational databases in production, such as SQL Server or PostgreSQL
Experience with Cloud, Containers, and System Administration, such as AWS or Azure, Docker or Kubernetes, and Windows Server
Ability to understand web technologies, applications, software systems and networks, and software security
Secret clearance
Bachelor’s degree
Nice If You Have:
Experience with C#, NET Core, Web API, IIS, MVC, and LINQ/Entity Framework
Experience with CI/CD tools, such as Jenkins or Github Actions
Experience with scripting languages, such as PowerShell or Python
Experience with pub or sub tools, such as RabbitMQ or Kafka
Experience modernizing software, such as migration to React or Vue
Experience migrating traditional web applications to AWS or Azure
Top Secret clearance
Master’s degree
DoD 8570 IAT II Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
