  • 2 years+ IT industry experience within a support role
  • Experience with enterprise device management processes and tools
  • Working knowledge of Active Directory

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)

  • Ability to travel domestically sometimes to provide support to other Saab offices

Responsibilities
  • Provide 1st & 2nd level support to Saab’s internal staff and where capable, provide 3rd level support to Saab’s internal staff for hardware, software, networking, and application related issues via phone, email, remote, and in-person
  • Triage, troubleshoot and resolve incidents and service requests in the ITSM system, ensuring accurate documentation whilst ensuring prompt professional service
  • Escalate complex or high-impact issues to Level 3
  • Undertake day-to-day administrative duties, such as: Account management; File & Print Services Management; Client setup, configuration and support; Installation, configuration and support of corporate and enterprise-wide support tools, systems, applications and technologies; Asset Management; Audio Visual Management
  • Work, communicate and cross-skill with other members of the Service Desk team, and where appropriate with the greater ICT group
  • Report to ICT Management on key issues and task outcomes
  • Actively participate in regular operational meetings as team and business needs dictate
  • Some domestic travel may be required, from time to time, to provide support to other Saab offices
  • Comply with legislation and Company policies, processes and instructions, including those relating to non-discrimination, safety and duty of care and the quality management system

Finnish AI startup Axel AI lands $135.6M from Saab and Tesi for military intelligence software

Finnish AI startup Axel AI has secured €120 million in funding to scale its military intelligence software, led by Swedish defence company Saab and Finnish state investment fund Tesi. The late-2023 round reflects growing collaboration between tech startups and traditional defence contractors amid Europe's shifting geopolitical landscape. Axel AI's platform performs real-time sensor data fusion, integrating information from multiple sensors to provide unified situational awareness for military units. The technology acts as an operating system for defence applications, translating vast data streams into actionable insights. The funding will expand research and development teams and accelerate European market penetration. Defence and dual-use technology investments in the Nordic region reached €368 million in 2023, up 69% from 2022. Axel AI has also partnered with Finnish firm XVision to establish a Finnish Large AI Hub for automated defence data analysis.

Saab hits record SEK 100B order bookings in Q4, upgrades growth target to 22%

Swedish defence and security company Saab reported record order bookings for 2025, reaching SEK 100.1 billion in the fourth quarter, up from SEK 17.6 billion the previous year. Full-year sales grew 34.5% organically to SEK 27.7 billion, with strong performance across all business areas. Operating profit increased 67% to SEK 3.3 billion, representing an 11.8% margin. Adjusted for a SEK 336 million capital gain from divesting Saab TransponderTech, operating profit rose 50% with a 10.6% margin. Operational cash flow strengthened to SEK 6.3 billion. Saab upgraded its medium-term organic sales growth target to around 22% compound annual growth rate through 2027, up from 18%. The board proposed a dividend of SEK 2.40 per share.

NIB grants €109M loan to Saab for Nordic defence R&D investments

The Nordic Investment Bank (NIB) has signed a nine-year loan agreement worth SEK 1.2 billion (€109.4 million) with Swedish defence company Saab AB to finance research and development investments in Nordic countries. This marks NIB's first defence loan in Sweden. The funding will support Saab's R&D in defence technologies, including autonomy, AI-based command and control systems, distributed sensors and advanced weapons. NIB President and CEO André Küüsvek described it as the bank's largest loan to a private sector defence company to date. NIB is the international financial institution of eight Nordic and Baltic countries, financing projects that improve productivity and benefit the environment. The bank holds AAA/Aaa credit ratings from S&P Global Ratings and Moody's.
