- Hands-on experience installing, configuring, monitoring, upgrading, patching and troubleshooting VMware vCloud Suite Enterprise Edition software components for a mid-size implementation
- Hands-on experience with VMware vCloud Automation Center
- Hands-on experience with VMware vCenter Orchestrator
- Hands-on experience with vFabric Hyperic
- Hands-on experience with VMware vCloud Director
- Hands-on experience with VMware vCloud Networking and Security
- Working knowledge of production Web hosting environments
- Strong knowledge of Solaris 10 administration
- Strong knowledge of HTTP and HTTPS
- Knowledge of TCP/IP troubleshooting
- Working knowledge of other Internet protocols (DNS, LDAP, Telnet, SMTP, SNMP)
- Linux operating system knowledge
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to produce written documentation (procedures and work instructions)
- Ability to coach junior administrators fosters new talent
- Serve as a subject matter expert to provide technical support to the Build Services team
- Be the primary point of contact for VMware and Linux rollouts
- Ensure build compliance
- Propose architectural solutions to support application requirements for high availability, reliability, security, etc.
- Willingness to handle complexity and troubleshoot various technical scenarios on various software platforms
