Job Responsibilities:

Maintain the SDS (Right to Know) program at location.
Ensure legislative compliance with EPA, ADA, Fire Codes and OSHA and serve as a Liaison with area OSHA Representatives when assigned.
Conduct routine workplace environment, health and safety inspections and establish measurable standards from which further recommendations (continuous improvement) can be made, with effective follow-up.
Coordinate and provide safety training, emergency evacuation procedures and practice drills including any necessary documentation for it and resulting from it.
Investigate and maintain records for all work related injuries and/or illnesses according to division procedures.
Provide statistical analysis, and assist in the development of effective health and safety counter-measures to continuously improve health and safety objectives.
Assist with the coordination of environmental activities.
Train new employees on health and safety specific to the facility.
Assist in powered industrial truck training.
Assist with Ergonomic risk assessment and/or audits.

Requirements:

High School Diploma
Currently attending a College or University in the field of Manufacutring, Health & Safety or related discipline. (Junior or Senior level status preferred)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Professional communication skills (written and verbal)
Strong attention to detail
Effective and efficient time management skills
